Messages from the President | Bob Folino

The annual meeting went very well this year. The slide presentation brought everyone up to speed on what has been happening in Ledgewood. The following board members were elected:

  • BOARD OF TRUSTEES Bob Folino President

  • John Herold Pool – Vice President

  • Nancy Lowrie Architectural Review - Secretary

  • Paul Chupek Common Ground

  • Nancy Picard Clubhouse

  • Mary Ellen Hill Architectural

  • Review Association Employees: Jim Chmura Operations Maintenance Manager

  • Jain Baruth Clubhouse Manager

  • Carleen Sundvall Recording Secretary-Treasurer

Several topics that were covered need to be covered for all the residents.

Covenants and Restrictions – We have accumulated ballots and proxies from 58% of the resident as of the annual meeting. As part of that effort we will mail ANOTHER ballot and proxy to those who have not responded yet. Volunteers will also be contacting those people directly to explain the importance of responding to this initiative. Your vote is needed so that all of the residents who have already taken the time to vote, can be heard. It is important that we hear your opinion on these issues and we will continue to solicit your vote until we reach the required 75%. If for some reason you are intentionally refusing to vote, and I have heard from two so far, please write “abstain” on the proxy form, sign it and mail that back in also so we don’t continue to harass you. We do want to know we made contact with everyone eligible to vote.

Firewood – Jim has started splitting the firewood. It is piled in front of the maintenance garage. Feel free to avail yourself of this bounty.

Common Ground Trash - Our ground crew spent time this summer cleaning trash out of some of the common ground. Two days later someone threw more trash there. The rule is, If it fell there, it stays there. If you throw it there, you are littering and that is subject to prosecution if your neighbor rats you out. This includes leaves. Blow them to the curb or haul them out with a tarp. We are getting a lot of complaints and we will start to enforce rules. And for the gardeners in the park, do not put organic matter in the trash cans. Carry it out into the wood and let it biodegrade. This is what our grounds crew does with it. They do not haul it away and are tired of sorting it out.

Feeding the Animals – Do not feed the animals. Raccoons, foxes, deer, NOTHING. Some are dangerous and some are just a pain. This last item should not have to be said BUT, please refrain from walking up the driveway above the clubhouse parking lot and looking in the windows. You are scaring his children and we would like him to be able to take down the no trespassing signs. If you miss that access to the trails above, let me know and we will work out a path around the pool or some alternate route in the spring.
