FREE EQUIPMENT
We have a few lawn care items at the maintenance garage that are no longer used. Rather than sell them or toss them out we've decided to give them to Ledgewood residents at no charge. If you are interested in any one of them (one per resident) let our Common Grounds Trustee Kim Gillespie know by email. Send your name, address, and phone number; items will be given on a first-come-first-served basis. These items are 10+ years old but have not been used in the 2-3 years. No pre-giveaway inspections. Some manuals are available.

TRUSTEES + VOLUNTEERS WANTED
We're looking for new volunteers to serve our community as Ledgewood Trustees and on various sub-committees. If you're interested in learning more, submitting yourself as a candidate, or nominating a neighbor, please visit our website or contact President Nicole Rosario.
ANOTHER FOOD TRUCK NIGHT COMING UP
We hope that you enjoyed the Off the GRIDdle food truck eats on June 15. Thanks to Zarina Melik-Stepanova, we will have at least one more chance to enjoy street food eats on August 17, 2021, from 4:30 - 7:30 PM when Off the GRIDdle returns. Make sure to mark your calendars, tell your friends and let us know if you know of other trucks who are interested in getting on our schedule.
COMING SOON - LEDGEWOOD'S LITTLE FREE LIBRARY
Ledgewood's resident Niki Krause brought an idea to the board to join the Little Free Library movement and we're happy to say our Library will be launching any day now. Ledgewood's Little Free Library will be one of over 100,000 free libraries worldwide. It is a free book exchange where anyone may take or leave a book. Our Little Free Library will be located at the Clubhouse. Please be on the lookout and plan to give and take books! And, for more information on the movement, visit Little Free Library or contact our Clubhouse Trustee Josh Holder.
THINGS AT THE POOL ARE GOING SWIMMINGLY!
It's great to see so many neighbors enjoying our pool. It feels wonderful to be able to socialize and swim without all the COVID restrictions we had in place last year. This summer is definitely feeling more normal again!
LEDGEWOOD'S CERTIFIED
The Ledgewood Association is now a Red Cross training provider. On June 12, Ledgewood held its first Lifeguard certification class. Eight participants became certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR. Each individual completed eight hours of online training, three different tests and evaluations, and an all-day training course. It was great that some of our neighborhood kiddos got to see the lifeguards in action! This class allowed us to hire and certify five first-time lifeguards. We're the only pool in the area, even amidst a national lifeguard shortage, that is fully staffed, thanks in part to this course and the awesome environment of working at Ledgewood pool!
NOW SELLING CONCESSIONS
In more good news, concessions are now being sold at the pool. Snacks and drinks can be purchased at the front desk in the clubhouse. All money made will go towards pool parties for the neighborhood. Remember to bring your singles to the pool!
