The required electrical work is done! All the digging, rewiring and installation of new equipment needed to bring us to code is completed and approved! We will be replacing the fencing around the electrical box at the clubhouse and also repaving the sections of drive that were opened so we could lay new wire (in conduit). This will be completed as soon as estimates are received and vendors selected. We have planned for the future and look for these improvements to last long into the future. Your patience while the work was being completed is much appreciated, and once again, I want to thank the city for working with us so we could open the pool with a minimum of down time.

Some questions answered:

  • The removed fence posts on the sledding hill property will remain where they are. Ledgewood built and maintained the fence. What will happen with this section of fence going forward will depend on what happens with the pending court case.

  • We do not have any adult events planned (either a clambake or a New Year’s Eve party). Last year’s Halloween Party was cancelled due to lack of interest. I have asked several times in the Ledger if there is interest in an event and what kind but gotten no response. In the past these events have been a great way to meet new people and visit with other Ledgewood residents you may not have seen for a while. It would be wonderful if we could plan an event that would appeal to longtime residents and newer/younger residents. If you are interested in volunteering to plan an event please call me at 440-238-4251.

Thank you to everyone who responded to our letters regarding safety concerns and maintenance issues on your properties. Most of our homes are in beautiful condition with lovely landscaping, and there were many improvement projects this summer throughout Ledgewood that enhanced the attractiveness of the development. If you received a notification regarding a burned out street light, please make sure it is repaired so the city doesn’t cite you. Remember that the utility boxes which are often on two properties are your responsibility to landscape and maintain. Grassess should be cut so as not to obstruct sidewalks
