My wife Tracy and I love the many amenities Ledgewood offers and hope you all enjoy them too!

Common Grounds - Ken Tocco

This is going to be a big and active year for Common Grounds at Ledgewood. Aside from our normal maintenance work, here’s a list of projects we have planned.

  • Last summer we began the expensive process of re-landscaping intersections that contain street signs. We’ll finish the project over the summer.

  • We’ve got two other improvement projects that will be done by Eric and Brian, our maintenance staff. We’ll be repainting both the fire extinguishers and the street signs.

  • The final phase of a 3-part project to replace the retaining walls above the pool will also be completed. One smaller section part way up the hill will finish things up.

  • Among other responsibilities, the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District is responsible for developing programs to minimize erosion. As our creek is a tributary of the Rocky River, we fall under their purview. We were contacted by them earlier this year after they inspected erosion along the creek, especially in the area across from the clubhouse and the parking lot. If you’ve ever walked along that part of the creek, I’m sure you’ve seen what they are referring to. At the suggestion of the CSWCD we applied for a grant to help remediate the erosion or at least minimize future damage. We got the grant, which involves planting 25-30 deciduous trees and shrubs in locations designated by the CSWCD and also changing the grass mowing pattern along the creek. We’ll be letting some of the grass grow along the creek so don’t be alarmed when you see that happening this spring and summer.

That’s going to keep our maintenance staff pretty busy, so show your appreciation when you see Eric and Brian hard at work.

Architectural – Chris Bourque

With Spring officially here we are gearing up for our annual community walk. For those new to the neighborhood, this is a time when the Architectural Committee walks through the neighborhood to ensure that the properties are being maintainedto continue to showcase the beauty that is Ledgewood. The walkthroughs will begin towards the beginning of June in order to give everyone time to finalize their spring cleaning and any repairs needed. Residents have found it helpful in the past to knowwhat the Committee is looking for, so we have provided a list below:

We will be doing something a little different this year and selecting a house on every street that goes above and beyond making our neighborhood beautiful. The winning houses will be listed in an upcoming newsletter as a parade of yards.

If you need additional time to finalize repairs/projects, or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Architectural Committee at architectural@theledgewoodassociation.com to let us know.

Clubhouse - Ryan Metz

As the Ledgewood Clubhouse prepares to undergo a series of updates, including new paint and curtains, the management extends heartfelt gratitude to all members and guests who have utilized the clubhouse over the past year. Their patronage and support have been instrumental in making these enhancements possible, ensuring that the clubhouse remains a vibrant hub of activity and community engagement. Vibrant hues and modern color palettes will infuse the space with renewed energy and sophistication, complementing the contemporary design elements. The new curtains will add a touch of elegance and functionality, enhancing privacy and light control throughout the clubhouse.

These updates are set to elevate the clubhouse experience, offering members and guests a luxurious and comfortable environment to socialize, dine, and celebrate special occasions.

We are eager to reflect a commitment to providing the best possible experience for everyone who walks through the doors. The HOA Board looks forward to welcoming everyone to the refreshed clubhouse!
