Unless you have been out of town or travel only at night, you undoubtedly noticed that work has begun on the Visconsi property. According to our councilman, the Ohio EPA has approved the clearing of the site. As of today, no other approvals have been provided (e.g. Army Corp of Engineers). However, we can only speculate that once the site is cleared, things will move quickly. The city planning department has 'preliminary plans' which any resident can view simply by driving to the Strongsville Service Center on Foltz Parkway. Contained within the preliminary plans is a 17 acre buffer at the Northwest corner of the site which provides some relief as a buffer to a portion but not all of the affected homes. As more details of the project become available to the public, we will continue to provide information within The Ledger. Our hearts go out the affected residents.
